It’s a brilliant bit of kit for upselling to existing customers, but we’ve also sold a number of the devices as standalone solutions to some new customers, so it’s a really versatile product for us; and all of our customers that have them installed enjoy using them and the added convenience they bring.

Thanks to the latest HomeControl2.0 product compatibilities, and the fact the app can be remotely controlled from anywhere in the world, we have been able to install a BatteryCam as a completely standalone solution for one particular customer.

A concerned Golf Club owner reached out to us looking for some support in protecting one of their golfing holes. Some local youths had been damaging the property in the evenings when the course was closed, so they needed a solution to deter the young people and keep the safe grounds at night.

The Club didn’t have an existing alarm system installed and only had a limited spending budget available to try and solve the problem. Where, typically, most security installation companies would try to push to install a full system in these scenarios, we were able to offer a standalone solution that our competitors couldn’t, which ultimately secured and won us the business.

As the BatteryCam offers battery-powered video surveillance and the design allows it to be mounted or placed anywhere, we were able to offer it to the customer as an affordable, independent solution; and with HomeControl2.0 connectivity, the golf course management could access and control the device from any remote location using their smartphones or tablets.

We installed the wireless BatteryCam on a pole overlooking the problematic golf hole, quite far away from the clubhouse building. The customers were delighted with the work and especially pleased to know they could monitor the site 24/7 and get notified immediately via HomeControl2.0 if any suspicious activity happened.
