Introducing LightCamera2
Rotherham, UK, September 2026 – Pyronix has launched LightCamera2, an external Wi-Fi security camera that combines HD video, intelligent motion detection, high-intensity lighting and two-way audio to provide a proactive approach to outdoor security.
The camera features a 3MP sensor delivering 2304 x 1296 resolution, up to 18m infrared night vision, IP65 weatherproof protection and Micro-SD storage up to 256GB. H.265 compression helps reduce storage and bandwidth requirements, while DWDR and 3D DNR enhance image quality in challenging lighting conditions.
Integrated with the HomeControl2.0 app, LightCamera2 provides real-time alerts with still-image verification, allowing users to see what has triggered an event instantly. When movement is detected, its dual 2600-lumen floodlights illuminate the area, while a built-in siren provides an additional layer of active deterrence.

Installers can customise detection zones and motion sensitivity, with Human Body Filtering helping to reduce unwanted activations. Continuous, motion and scheduled recording modes offer further flexibility, and ONVIF compatibility supports integration with compatible third-party video management systems.
With quick Wi-Fi setup and installation-focused features including a split terminal block and pre-attached camera connection, LightCamera2 is designed to provide a simple upgrade or upsell opportunity.
